Angi Lay, owner of Plume was a public accountant in corporate America for many years. She always had a stirring to be an entrepreneur and made the leap to start her own business in 2020. The CICEO students toured her shop, Plume and learned about the obstacles she has faced as a small business owner.
She challenged the students to think about what they are passionate about as they approach graduating high school. She encouraged them to start small, plan-plan-plan, build an email list, watch your costs, develop partnerships and think about your market/reach opportunity.
