Alissa Crawford

About Me

Hello there! I’m Alissa Crawford, a 17 year old senior at Blue Ridge High School. At Blue Ridge High School I’m in multiple extracurricular activities including volleyball and track. Being busy with sports and school is hard but I make it work. Being busy all the time has taught me to never give up. If I gave up on the things I love I would not be where I am today. I also have a part-time job during the school year at Inman Place Senior Living. I waitstaff for an independent senior living facility. What waitstaffing has taught me is that we need to take care of our elders. Everyone older than you is most likely full of knowledge that will help you later in life. Having that passion of always being busy and wanting to learn more has helped me learn to multitask and made me better at time management. I joined the Central Illinois CEO Program to learn about business relations and how the community plays a role in small businesses. Hopefully the Central Illinois Program leads me to play a role in my community and have connections to those around me. If I learn my role in my community and have great connections, maybe one day I will have my own successful business. Seeing how well the community plays a role in my business will decide if I stick with business later down the road. Currently I want to major in Criminology/Pre Law, and minor in business. If my business takes off my college plans will change and I will stick with just my own business.
