About Me

Hello, my name is Sydney Pottala, and I am a 16-year-old junior at Maroa-Forsyth High School. I work hard to balance my academics with a variety of extracurricular activities, including volleyball, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, S.A.D.D., and Culture Club. Outside of school, I babysit for several families in Forsyth, an opportunity that has strengthened my problem-solving abilities, leadership skills, and ability to mentor children in their growth and character. After high school, I plan to attend college and pursue a career as a dental hygienist. In addition to academics and work, I value spending time with my family and friends, while also continuing to strengthen my relationship with God. I am grateful for the people and opportunities God has placed in my life. I have been interested in this program since my sophomore year, after seeing how it has transformed former students into confident leaders who are prepared for the future. Their growth has inspired me to step outside of my comfort zone, connect with new people, explore different businesses, and one day encourage others to take advantage of this experience as well. I am thankful for everyone who makes this program possible and provides students like me with the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally.
